HJL’s 1-year Viewer Appreciation Print Giveaway
I’ve been posting photos on Tumblr for a little over a year now, and wanted to appreciate *you* for your interest and attention here, with an opportunity to receive a print of one of the photos posted here. There are two options:
1) Reblog to enter a Random Drawing:
Reblog this post to enter a drawing for a print of one of my photos.  Likes on this point won’t count as an entry.  I will use the reblogs on this post to determine who is in the drawing and randomly select at least 10 entries to win a free print. Maybe more than 10, but it depends on how much I end up spending on international postage. There is an excellent chance you’ll end up with a print selected by someone else in option #2:
2) Skip the random drawing, choose your favorite print in exchange for your thoughts:
If you want to guarantee you get a print, and also choose which photo you get — write a short note or review about any photo in my stream explaining what you like or find interesting about it, or about some aspect of the photos you see here, reblog your selected photo with your thoughts, and send a message to let me know.
This is a good excuse to go look at photos you probably missed, You can scan through all the photos on the archive link, or maybe just the film photos, or black and white photos
Positive or negative comments are fine, but I reserve the right to reject content-free comments to get a guaranteed entry, in which case you’ll still be in the random drawing.
I know a lot of you post original work only, so if you’re not a reblogger (I’m not) you can also send me your response via Tumblr messaging. I won’t repost private responses, so if you do want people to see your comments you should use a reblog, and if you don’t want people to see your comments, you can safely send them via private message. If you just want to enter the random drawing (not guaranteed) you can also do that by sending a Tumblr message.

Delivery:
If you are selected in the random drawing, I will notify you by Tumblr messaging to get shipping information. If I can’t contact you, you won’t get a print. I will ship anywhere worldwide, but you will need to provide a deliverable physical mail address. US, APO, International addresses are all OK.
The print giveaway will remain open through Saturday, August 16th, and winners of the random drawing will be contacted afterwards to arrange delivery.
Guaranteed prints for people who respond with a review of their selected photo via reblog or private message will be sent out as they come in.

More details:
You don’t have to be following me to enter., However, the main purpose of this project to appreciate those who have been following along and are interested in my work. If you’re just interested in the random drawing, please don’t bother subscribing and unsubscribing, I’m not doing this to get new followers, you’ll still have an opportunity to receive a print. (If you *do* want to subscribe, you might also want to check out my Flickr, Facebook, and 500px feeds.)
I *would* like to hear what people think about photos that catch their interest, and would like to see people get prints that they actually like, which is why I’m experimenting with a “guaranteed” giveaway for viewers that take the time to reflect for a minute.
In any case, thanks for your likes, comments, reblogs, and attention, and I look forward to seeing your responses.

Wide open shot with the QL17. Shallow depth of field can be a little hit or miss with a rangefinder, but I was out for dinner carrying minimal gear. I like the look it can produce, but it’s hard to come up with reliable results.
